Water Heater Installation in Utah
A water heater is only as good as its installation. Green Line sizes the unit correctly, handles fuel, venting, expansion tanks and connections to Utah code, and tests everything before leaving.
What a proper water heater installation includes
Cutting corners on installation causes leaks, thermal stress, and premature tank rupture. We do every install to code.
Correct sizing
Matched to your household demand, fixtures and simultaneous-use needs - not a guess.
Fuel type
Gas, electric or hybrid - verified supply and compatibility before install.
Capacity
Gallon or GPM rating chosen for real usage, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Energy efficiency
We explain efficiency ratings and help you compare long-term operating cost.
Venting
Proper gas venting, combustion air and clearances for safe operation.
Connections
Correct water, gas and electrical connections, leak-checked and pressure-tested.
Code compliance
Installed to current Utah plumbing and mechanical code, permitted where required.
Expansion tank
Included where applicable to protect your system and meet code.

What size water heater do I need?
For a tank heater, sizing is based on the number of people and simultaneous fixtures - a typical family of four often does well with a 50-gallon tank, but demand varies. For tankless, sizing depends on peak flow rate (gallons per minute) and your groundwater temperature rise. Green Line calculates real demand rather than installing a generic size, so you never run out - or overspend.
